Our client is a leader in the international forest products trade, headquartered in Boston, USA. It is a family owned business and a subsidiary of the Kraft Group of Companies, with interests in sports and entertainment, real estate, paper & packaging, and forest product trading. The UK office based in Newbury is a satellite office of the parent company.
We are seeking to recruit a motivated Documentation Assistant with the drive, intuition, and ability to effectively support the European Trade Director, processing and releasing documentation for all solid wood business, and processing of plastics recyclates orders and preparing export documentation.
Responsibilities will include the timely presentation of all Solid Wood orders, advising customers/agents of sailing schedules, processing packing lists received from suppliers for both Lumber and Logs shipments, and analyzing the data to ensure that loaded material conforms to order specification and requirements.
Additional duties include sending container information, customs forms and Bills of Lading instructions to the shipping lines/freight forwarders prior to shipment, liaising with outside agencies (Forestry Commission, Chamber of Commerce, Freight Forwarders) regarding creating, amending and issuing original certificates as required and confirming shipped on board dates and ETA’s at destination with shipping lines
